TextMagus is frequently used for solving the following tasks:

  • Transformation of the text the elements of which are separated by certain symbols into an easily perceived tabulated format.Reverse conversion - the initial file is a text with fixed width elements resembling a tabulated structure. It is to be converted into a text with separators, for instance, for subsequent processing by some program.

  • Converting the text from one cha racter set into another.

  • Removal of redundant information from the file; for example, one or several extra columns in a tabulated text file.

  • Adding certain elements to the source file to obtain a text of the required structure. (For example: create .XML file format from .txt file)

  • Replacement of certain elements of the source text by information from an external directory.

    TextMagus 1.3 requires Microsoft ? Windows 98/Me/2000/XP, or Windows NT 4.0SP6. If you are running any of these operating systems your system has already met all the requirements necessary to run Acwad TextMagus. A full installation of Acwad TextMagus requires 1,2 megabyte of hard drive space.
